In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Oceania displayed intriguing trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these applications experienced varying patterns in downloads and active users.

Google Maps maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 26K and 36K. Active users slightly declined initially from 6.3M to 6.0M but showed recovery towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 6.1M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at over 40K during the holiday season. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at around 813K and climbing to over 932K by the end of December.

Google Earth experienced a moderate download rate, with numbers ranging from around 7K to 11K weekly. Active users began at approximately 114K and declined to about 94K over the quarter.

Polarsteps Travel had consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 2K. Active users showed a gradual increase throughout the quarter, starting from 27K and reaching nearly 30K by mid-December.

Segway Mobility displayed a significant surge in weekly downloads, particularly in the penultimate week of December, reaching over 9K. Active users increased from around 3.7K to over 10K before settling at approximately 5.9K at the quarter's end.
